PROJECT OVERVIEW
- Accelerating Inclusive Market for Smallholders (AIMS)
Accelerating Inclusive Market for Smallholders (AIMS) is funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Royal Government of Cambodia. The total fund amounts to USD 45 million, of which IFAD fund is USD 36.3 million and government contributes USD 8.7 million.The Objective of this project is to accelerate the inclusive growth of market and for higher value agricultural products and the development of associated local clusters through which poorer smallholder producers can benefit alongside others.ARDB is selected to be a financial institution partner to provide loans and grants to beneficiaries. The target commodities include quality assured rice, backyard chicken, cassava, vegetable and raw silk.The project was implemented from 2017-2023 and covered 18 city-provinces: Kampong Cham Kampong Thom Kratie Mondulkiri Takeo Prey Veng Preah Vihear Rotanakiri Stung Treng Pailin Tbong Khmum Kampong Speu Kompot Kondal Kep Siem Reap Banteay Meanchey and Battambang, along with Phnom Penh city. - Accelerating Inclusive Market for Smallholders-Additional Financing (AIMS-AF)
AIMS-AF has been extended for three years, until September 2027, with a total additional funding of USD 20 million, of which USD 3.2 million is allocated specifically for grants. The project continues to be implemented in the same 18 city-provinces and focuses on key agricultural commodities such as vegetables/safe vegetables, backyard chicken/Khmer chicken, rice/premium rice, and spices.
