Preah Vihear: H.E. Dr. Kao Thach, Representative of the Government of Cambodia in charge of the Director General of Rural Development and Agriculture Bank, stated that in the digital technology era, young entrepreneurs in Cambodia need to prepare themselves and have a long-term vision to invest in each sector to leave a legacy for the future generations.
H.E. Dr. Kao Thach said that creating a new business in the present and in the future is very important. Investment in the future besides getting profit and leaving legacy and work to our children for the next generation.
Furthermore, H.E. Dr. Delegation considered young entrepreneurs as one of the most important characters to contribute to nation-building, especially those who create small businesses, provide a lot of benefits to the society.
Meanwhile, H.E. Dr. Kao Thach said that the preparation for future investment is in high uncertainty in the global economy, as our Cambodian economy is recovering, has shown the importance of Cambodia entrepreneurship sector as a driving force to boost national economic growth by creating new job opportunities etc.
H.E. Dr. Kao Thach also said that today’s program is not only a forum for entrepreneurship but a wide open discussion on various topics such as agriculture, more finance, opportunities and other sectors that will be invested in the future to contribute greatly in nation building.
H.E. Dr. Pratiphu reminded the workshop and the discussion that when it comes to investments, most people think of money or profits, but the term investment for the future means much more than profit, both our energy investment, which comes from investing in different sectors, as well as our common values and vision for nation-building.
In addition, Cambodia has achieved achievements in key sectors as a priority, including job creation, promoting the private sector and entrepreneurship, building human capital, promoting social protection services and people welfare and expansion, strengthening environmental sustainability, climate response and change, driving digital socio-economic revolution, restoration of existing economic growth spheres as well as promoting a potential sector. Just a few more.
H.E. Dr. Kao Thach added that investment for the future is investment in human capital, people with high knowledge and skills that include virtue, ethics and morality. Finally, investment in infrastructure and digital technology that will leave a good legacy or reputation in the long run to the next 10 years, words like investment in renewable energy, no harm to our planet for future generations.
Apart from the program, the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia also organized a panel discussion and presentation of keynote speakers, H.E. Nut Unvanra and H.E. Dr. Chieng Vanmounind, with coordination from H.E. Pech Bolen, President of the Young Entrepreneurs Society of Cambodia.
For H.E. Dr. Kao Thach expressed optimism that under the wise leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, an outstanding young leader full of capability, knowledge and energy, the previous government has released the first strategic framework to speed up Cambodia’s economic growth at 5% in 2023 and 6 percent in 2024 which is a high growth if solid and steady growth.
