Dr. Kao Thach, the representative of the Tuk Bantok Government, the CEO of Rural Development and Agriculture Bank and Mr. Kim Las, the head of Hang Hawes Company, a large potato exporting company to the Chinese market, on the afternoon of July 13, 2025, visited to inspect the terrace and the dry potato warehouse, which are located in Uddar Meachey and Banteay Meachey Province.

After visiting and inspecting the location of the important potato fields in Oddar Meanchey province, Dr. Kao Thach and Mr. Kim Las, the head of Hang Harvey company, continued to inspect the potential and purchase of potatoes, potato harvesting facilities of farmers in Ttom Pouk district and Svay Chek district, Banteay Meanchey province.
After listening to the comments and confirmation from citizens, as well as the owners of the terrace and the collector’s merchants of about 10 locations above, H.E. Dr. Kao Thach recommended that the warehouse owners and the collectors should cooperate with Hang Hawes Group, a major exporter and ARDB Bank on credit sector to have favorable interest rates.
In addition, on behalf of ARDB Bank, H.E. Dr. Kao Thach has called on merchants and merchants to continue to collect more dumlomi from farmer brothers and ARDB Bank continues to support credit sector to solve the problems facing the farmers and promote the rural economy.
Meanwhile, Dr. Delegation also suggested that potato traders should use national currency, Riyal, in the transaction of buying and selling of crops on their physical basis to minimize the risk of exchange rate.

Each year, Cambodian potatoes are produced by farmers on about 84 million hectares of cultivated land, producing about 15 million tonnes of fresh yield with an economic yield of about 1,255 million dollars, as of 2024, red corn about 28 million hectare of fresh yield of about 1 million tonnes, producing an economic yield of over 200 million dollars.
