H.E. Dr. Kao Thach, presided over the National Workshop on “Accelerating Inclusive Green Finance in Cambodia: Strengthening Financial Institutions for Climate-Resilient and Sustainable Development.”
(Phnom Penh): H.E. Dr. Kao Thach, Delegate of the Royal Government in charge as CEO of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), presided over the National Workshop on “Accelerating Inclusive Green Finance in Cambodia: Strengthening Financial Institutions for Climate-Resilient and Sustainable Development.”
This workshop was initiated and organized under the collaboration between ARDB and the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA), with the support of development partners, including the Association of Development Financing Institution in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), Korean Development Bank (KDB), Mekong Strategic Capital (MSC), and Water.org. The National Workshop aimed to enhance awareness of green finance among financial institutions in Cambodia, foster networking, and promote investment in priority sector, thereby advancing the development of green finance in Cambodia. Meanwhile, the workshop also highlighted the framework of the Cambodia Climate Finance Facility (CCFF) to bridge the green finance gap—specifically by identifying both the demand for and supply of green finance in Cambodia. The workshop was attended by 75 participants, including experts and representatives of financial institutions attend physically and virtually.
