Monk Account and Pagoda Fund Account is a deposit product from ARDB Bank that allows monks, Buddhist organizations (pagodas), and Buddhist associations to open savings deposit accounts to manage and administer finance, pagoda funds, or donations. The main objectives of creating Monk Accounts and Pagoda Fund Account are to:

Required Documents

  1. Monk Account:
    • Original monk identification document bearing a photograph, and/or Khmer national identity card
    • Contact address as stated in the monk identification document
    • Mobile phone number and/or email address
  2. Fixed Deposit Account:
    • Original monk identification document bearing a photograph
    • Identification documents of account members as monk identification documents and/or Khmer national identity cards or passport belonging to the pagoda committee or the management board of the Buddhist association
    • Decision on the appointment of the pagoda abbot or the president of the Buddhist association
    • A management structure comprising members of the pagoda committee or the management board of the Buddhist association
    • Statutes of the pagoda or Buddhist association that are appropriate to the actual circumstances
    • Authorization letters or decisions from the Ministry of Cult and Religion such as a decision authorizing the operation of the pagoda, a letter regarding the pagoda’s name, a Buddhist certification, etc.
    • Decision by the pagoda abbot, head of the pagoda committee, or head of the Buddhist association regarding the opening of an account
    • Letter authorizing an individual to act as a representative for the pagoda or Buddhist association, or other relevant documents.
