Senior Officer, Temenos Core Banking

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all core banking functionalities to ensure uninterrupted operation of the banking system.
- Supervise and guide service desk staff in providing user support for business applications.
- Configure and set up products and parameters on Temenos T24.
- Work closely with business users to address daily operational issues, provide consultancy, and act as second-level support for troubleshooting application-related issues.
- Collaborate as a business analyst by analyzing user requirements and coordinating with vendors to deliver appropriate solutions.
- Manage multiple vendors, including negotiation and monitoring of system enhancements.
- Oversee and plan the tasks of subordinate staff.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Temenos T24 Core Banking (system and functionalities).
- Ensure smooth execution of End of Day (EOD), End of Month (EOM), and End of Year (EOY) processes to prepare for the next working day.
- Deliver high-quality support services for all assigned business applications.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the bank’s financial data.
- Identify and recommend IT solutions to improve internal processes.
- Coordinate with vendors for updated user manuals and ensure internal IT operational manuals are created/updated.
- Conduct user training on Temenos Core Banking applications.
- Develop and maintain in-house applications as required.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and incident reports.
- Guide and coordinate staff on simulating and resolving technical issues.
- Facilitate and participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises.
- Assign and monitor tasks to ensure subordinates complete work on time.
Qualifications and competencies
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Core Banking System operations and troubleshooting.
- Strong technical knowledge of Linux, Solaris, Java programming, REST/SOAP API services, VB.Net, ASP.Net, PL/SQL, T-SQL, OBIEE, Power BI, or BI Publisher.
- Familiarity with Core Banking System operations, including troubleshooting issues related to operations, accounting, loans, card systems, banking services, and digital banking platforms.
- High sense of responsibility, strong analytical skills, and commitment to delivering assigned tasks effectively.
